Making your home more energy efficient by going green
I wanted to tell some people about a product that I came across about 5 months ago that is working amazingly on my last home. It is called Super Therm. It is a ceramic product that looks like paint but stops 95% of heat from loading into your walls. That means that heat can't get in and heat can't get out. My utilities were cut down by about 40%. I first noticed that my house stayed so much cooler in the late afternoons when normally my upstairs is super super hot and I would have to turn my A/C down super low just to control it so I could sleep comfortable. I have a guarantee that it will last over 20 years, It is water and fire resistant. When I was first introduced to this product, I didn't really believe how it worked, but I got them to make me an offer I couldn't turn down. I also will get the energy star credit and a credit from my county for using this product. It works better than anything else I have ever found. Being green in my home is pretty improtant to me and this product I found out is "cradle to cradle" green for the environment, USGBC certified, USDA certified, EPA certified "Gold" and if you are interested is also LEED Certified. This is a great product and I highly recomend if for nothing more than to cut down on your bills and make the planet a little better. It makes it so much cheaper for me!!
