Living in a Lego House.

A German company has developed a unique way of building your own home with a design based on lego. modular units that slot together easily, and are earthquake and hurricane proof. Made from sustainable local materials which arecompletely recyclable too.

could you live in a house built yourself like this?

Info on their website here... fascinating and innovative!

That is an interesting link, it seems like a great idea. I would be hapy to have a home like that, but the insurance would worry me because they charge more for houses of non standard construction.

i don't know if insurance would be that much of a problem.. and if this catches on, and more houses are built like this, the insurance companies will have to make adjustments to cover the demand... and then those that are more competitively priced will corner the market...

I hope the insurance wouldn't be a problem because this is a really good idea and it sounds as if the houses would be safer than some traditionally built houses.
