Did you know

If you take a soda bottle, fill it with sand and place it inside the flush tank, you can save 1 litre of water everytime you flush...that is almost 750 litres in a year!...

Re: Did you know

I've heard variations of that. I think I've also heard about putting a brick or two in the tank.

I assume that would work especially well on the older toilets that used more water, rather than newer ones that are designed to use less?

Yeah, we've done the bottle and the bricks ourselves, and I don't think you can do that in a new toilet, the tank's too small.

Re: Did you know

I think the tip is a good one. I wish people would keep in mind that not everyone can afford to just run out and get the get equipment. It takes money, a rare commodity to many of us.
