Thanks for posting a link to the article.

I guess my initial question about organic foods is "How do you know they're organically grown"?

I guess for a start, we could research the stores where we shop. Also I guess buying locally may give us a chance to know more about how produce is grown.

oh dear, the link does not appear to be working for me.. anyone else had a problem?

I would prefer to buy local produce over imported 'organic' myself...

I just tried it a couple of times, with no luck. I'm not sure if the site's just down temporarily or not.

Maybe there's an updated link that could be posted?

I didn't catch the details, but last night on the Toronto news there was a story about labeling food as organic.

From what I did catch of it, there seemed to be some kind of regulation made so companies couldn't call products organic unless they actually were. That would be a step in the right direction.
