i don't disagree with you Deltic... as i said, nobody i know is a smoker.. but it seems to me that smokers are an easy target when there are other bigger and more pressing things that need to be addressed with draconian measures...

perhaps i am just being devils advocate..

I can see what you mean, but there are few things that are such an immediate negative effect on others as smoking. As a person with asthma, smoking is not just an unpleasant annoyance, even brief exposure to smoke upsets my asthma. Thankfully no one in my family has ever smoked.
