Turning over a new leaf
Hello all!
I am just now slowly converting over to a more eco-friendly way of thinking. I recycle and such as most everyday people do, however my ideas and thoughts are much broader in scale.
I look out upon my street and up into the sky, thinking of how much more enjoyable the areas that I live in, would be without having to see untold power lines slicing my uninterrupted view down into much smaller and condensed area of vision. Or being able to dig in my yard without having to check with my utility companies just to determine if there are any hazardous cables lurking under the surface ready to shorten my enjoyment of improving my space. There are many things that we of the human race of this planet have introduced into already complex ecosystems that are affecting each and every part of the world. From old rotting and unused cables snaking across untold miles of seafloor, to the millions upon millions of miles of wire crossing our cities and countryside, just to connect our extremely built-up industrial complexes to where we live. Wouldn't the Earth be better off without all that visible infrastructure? We need to develop a more eco-friendly power collection and transmission grid that will not harm either us humans, or the animals and birds that had already inhabited the earth before we came along to change it.
