The Bicycle lanes are open. (or at least they could be)

There is a place in this world that has an amusement park where riding your bicycle is a thrill ride. The concept is pretty simple but the idea is revolutionary. Journey to Aukland NZ. and check out the newest in urban transportation if we could ever establish a clear and dedicated program. Imagine having platforms in place to load and unload you personal transport and the ability to zip from one part of a city to another with out the use of carbon spewing cars. Also imagine the number of people who would be healthier in this world. Watch the video and think about the possibilities.

With a few mods I think this guy is on to something.

They need to add something like this to the go cart track/putt-putt/bungie jumpin parks we have here in fort worth.

One bicycle in the right place can change the world :o

I can see that being a popular amusement park ride. I wonder how much electricity could be generated by someone pedaling those things?

It looks interesting. ;)

The position of the rider also reminds me of my brother-in-law's tricycle.

He rides from a seated position. It looks like a fun ride, but my concern would be that in traffic, you're really counting on other people on the road noticing your little flag above you and making room for you.

I couldn't view the video; didn't show up, but just from reading the post and the responses, it wouldn't work for me. That said, I think it might have a place in the future, if we head in that direction.

Thanks -- saw it this time. I'd never survive, but as a sport, it probably has a place. I prefer the boat! :}
