Re: Obama's Energy Plan

Personally,he's got no business sticking his nose in my house. Why should he give a damn about what kind of light bulb I use? What's next friends,he decides how many bathrooms you should have so you can conserve water? How bout the governmment telling you how large a house you should have? If you are really concerned about energy downsize your house your car,let me have the largest house I want,I don't need him to tell me what I can and cannot have. How about the size of your car,why can't I drive my Chevy truck that gets 17 miles to the gallon? I can afford it. I don't want the Obama people building me a clown truck like the are doing with the cars.

Obama tells use that we Americans can't eat all we want,we can't keep our thermostats on 74* Why should I lower my standard of living when he fly's in a pizza chef? Fly's to New York for a date (carbon footprint)? I work hard to enjoy the fruits of my labor. The American people are the brightest and the most resourcefull people on the planet, when there is a need for something we can do it,not the government. Just protect me from terrorists Obama, and don't bring them here.

All the problems with the economy and this knucklehead wants to tell me I need to get a new light bulb, his is pretty dim.

Re: Obama's Energy Plan

It sounds ok, I dislike the part about the gov't reaching their dirtry hands into the profits of oil companies, kinda reminds me of the remark Barrack Hussein Obama made to "Joe the plumber" when he walked across his yard and told him that he "wanted to spread the wealth" meaning he wanted to take money from others and give it to people with less. We end up again with how do we determine when someone has to much? Unconstitutional to take money from publicly held companies. He already owns GM,Chrylser, and a host of banks,he's looking to take over the health industry,if he does we loose thousands of other jobs, and the soup lines will get longer.

He also states that within 1 year the Whithouse fleet will be all plug ins......4 months to go! any progress?

Cap and trade will make everyone poorer.

This will never happen with his energy plan because if he gets his health plan,it will break this country,he has already spent more than all the past presidents combined!

I think Barack Obama is a fantastic politician, who has a massive task trying to solve all Americas and the worlds problems. But there isn't a better man than him to try and solve the problems.

And just imagine how much further along we'd be if we had been able to spend eight years with Al Gore as President, followed by eight years of Obama. We'd be stylin'! :WINGS:

do i detect a note of sarcasm? :D

I think Obama may be trying to cram too much reform into one term, perhaps thinking he won't win another... but in the end all his reforms will suffer. He needs to pick one and get it done.

I think Al Gore would have been a disaster he was only out to make himself look good, there was no substance to him. He twisted information to suit his own ends. Of course Bush was a disaster anyway. Good for Obama, at least he is trying to deal with these issues. I like him less than I did but that doesn't have to do with his attitude to green issues.

Re: Obama's Energy Plan

i think Al Gore is genuine.. unfortunately is is difficult to be taken seriously when you are as rich as he is.. everyone is always looking to see where he is profiting...
