New Endurance S-250 Wind Turbine

The great thing about the Endurance S-250 wind turbine is it can be connected directly to the power grid without the need for an inverter. The company claims it has a power rating of 5 kWh and can support the energy requirements of an average U.S. household that uses up to 18,000 kWh per year. It also has a braking system and over-speed protection to stop the rotors in cases of extreme high wind or fault conditions.

That is just great. I just don't understand why we don't do more to adopt these kind of technologies in our country. It's common sense.

Re: New Endurance S-250 Wind Turbine

They sound great for people who have wind as a viable resource.

Question:
Most people that would buy a wind turbine probably use much less than 18,000 kWh. I would only use about 12,000kWh for the year which would mean there should be extra power generated. Here's the question: Could I, as an average american citizen, sell the excess power to my former power company?

Don't let the Earth Liberration Front see those things, they may come and knock them down, cause they maybe ruining the landscape.

When I retire to the country on my 100 acres here in The Great State Of Texas,I'm going to have them installed on my land. Heard of T. Boone Pickens the billionaire? I'll bet most of the guys on here have and hate him cause he's a rich bastard, what's he doin with all that money anyway? Any way he is building some of those wind turbines up in the Panhandle in the great state of Texas.the blades are least 85 ft long. You green people gotta hate him don't you, cause he is filthy, filthy, filthy rich, made it off oil

Now he's gonna make billions more off wind.....and capitialism great?

Short:

Environmentalists-- of which I am one are not all anti captalism like myself.
Not all Socialists are Environmentalists---Some have no problem ruining the land but they are worried about the Human condition. Many of the readers here on Greenspeak are Capitalist just like you... Some are Environmentalists who love capitalism... Others are Environmentalist who like people too. Those people are the ones like me who believe that a socialist approach to economics is the way to grant people the liberties you espouse. That does not mean that all envrionmentalist are socialist or that all socialists are environmentalist. I want you to think about that before you make blanket statements.

You will notice that I used liquor and guns in a post about taxes and recycling... I did it because you come from TEXAS do you drink do you have guns? I don't know but I used blanket statements because you fit a "profile" what that does is makes the conversation course and unfriendly. In short is pisses people off Short. Is that what you are trying to do?

Hey just wanted to point out some observations... MAY YOUR GOD BLESS YOU

I know for a fact everyone that lives in Texas has an oversized belt buckle and wears a cowboy hat too!

I like to consider myself an environmentalist too.. AND I believe in the American dream! But wait, is that even possible?

I love guns,I have hand guns, did you know we can carry them in public  I don't drink liquior,it is a drug that people get addicted to. It kills way to many people, even innocent ones who don't drink it.

There is no socialist country that has the freedom that a capitalist country has like ours, never will be.
How can you have freedom Urban, under Socialism? Liberty has been stipped from you under that format.
